This year the Memorial Day Parade in Mount Vernon was themed "Our Guardians of Freedom and Liberry; May They Rest in Peace". The parade traveled on East High Street from Catherine Street to the Public Square in Mount Vernon where they had a special heart felt ceremony. One of the the highlights this year was a wagon filled with 17 World War II Veterans and many of them were wearing their original uniforms and waving flags.
